Rights and scope
Backup-email identity, DNS and invoices
Privacy requests can involve both mailbox data and external backup-email verification records, verified-domain challenges, alias configurations and billing references. A customer's public MX, SPF or DKIM DNS record is administered at their chosen DNS host; updating records there is distinct from deleting information from AI Mail Cloud's systems. Stripe invoices and payment records may be subject to statutory accounting retention.
Under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020, people can generally ask organisations to provide access to and correct personal information held about them, subject to lawful exceptions. Other privacy laws may provide portability, objection, erasure or consent-withdrawal rights depending on where and how the law applies.
How to make a request
Write to legal@aimailcloud.com from an address associated with your account, explain the right you want to exercise and identify the relevant mailbox or data. Do not include your password. We may request proportionate identity verification before disclosing account or message information.
What happens next
We evaluate requests under applicable law, explain any lawful restriction and provide access or correction where required. Certain data must be retained for fraud prevention, legal obligations, billing disputes or security. Requests affecting other correspondents may need special handling.
Account closure and data export
Closing a subscription and requesting statutory erasure are separate processes. Export correspondence you need before closure, and consult Account Closure and Deletion for practical steps.
Escalation
If you disagree with our handling, contact legal@aimailcloud.com. You may also seek advice or complain to the New Zealand Office of the Privacy Commissioner or another authority with jurisdiction.
