From first click to your working mailbox

Every stage explained for all four plans, including password creation, payment, backup-email messages and Professional DNS.

The complete ten-step customer journey

01

Choose your plan and billing period

Choose Free, Plus, Business or Professional Domain Email. Buttons open accounts.aimailcloud.com, where the secure system validates your chosen plan, available billing terms and storage capacity. Selecting a card does not charge you.

02

Provide your mailbox and external backup email

For the first three plans, request a @aimailcloud.com address. For Professional, enter one mailbox at a domain you own. Provide a separate external email address you can already access. AI Mail Cloud sends the backup-address verification there; check spam and allow a few minutes.

03

Verify your backup address

Open the verification link in your external inbox and confirm in the secure account application. Do not forward verification links or disclose tokens. If the link expires, use the secure resend process; see troubleshooting.

04

Professional only: prove domain ownership

You'll receive instructions for a unique DNS TXT record at the DNS provider for your own domain. Add the record, allow DNS time to update, and return to verify ownership. This happens before payment. You can choose up to five local-part aliases pointing to your one mailbox; aliases aren't separate mailboxes.

05

Pay securely, if you selected a paid plan

After eligibility and verification, follow the secure Stripe Checkout link. Check the exact total, applicable tax, currency and billing period before approving payment. Free customers don't complete a paid checkout. AI Mail Cloud waits for verified Stripe confirmation rather than relying on a browser success page.

06

Open the password-setup invitation

Check the same verified backup mailbox for the activation link. At the secure account site, set your own unique password (minimum 14 characters). Your password is not emailed. Provisioning may complete asynchronously; do not pay twice if setup is pending.

07

Mailbox provisioned and confirmation emailed

Once entitlement and provisioning checks succeed, your mailbox becomes available. Professional provisioning creates one 5 GiB mailbox and the selected aliases on your verified domain, generates a DKIM key, and queues your unique MX, SPF, DKIM and DMARC instructions to the backup address. The four ordinary plans' activation and billing messages are separate from the DNS instructions.

08

Professional only: publish operational DNS

Copy the exact MX, SPF, DKIM and DMARC records from your own setup email into your domain provider's DNS zone. Pay attention to TXT names, quotation marks, TTL and whether your provider appends the domain automatically. Changing MX records can interrupt email with your previous provider. Test with a separate subdomain or plan a migration. Follow the complete DNS guide.

09

Sign in and test mail

Visit secure webmail sign-in, use your full mailbox address and your chosen password, and solve the simple addition question beneath the password field. Forgot your credentials? Use Forgot Password or Forgot Email Address below either webmail login form; eligible accounts receive recovery instructions or a private address reminder at their verified external backup email. For Professional, test an inbound external email, an alias and an outbound reply; check SPF, DKIM and DMARC results. Contact support if something fails.

10

Keep billing and recovery details current

Paid subscriptions renew at the chosen interval until cancelled. Stripe sends successful-payment receipts and paid invoice PDFs to the billing email it receives, which the registration flow should bind to your verified backup email. Use your secure customer account for billing access and consult the full message timeline.

Emails to your external backup address

Professional domain setup after activation

You provide and control your own domain. AI Mail Cloud generates a unique ownership challenge before payment and operational DNS information after AI Mail Cloud provisions the mailbox. Your DNS provider is where you add or change records; you do not need to copy information out of our administrator dashboard.

Professional domain DNS: record types and purposes
TypeWhat it doesWhat to enter
Ownership TXTProves you control your domain before purchaseUse the unique hostname and token in your verification message; keep it until verification has completed.
MXRoutes incoming messagesYour exact domain name, preference 10, destination mail.aimailcloud.com if displayed by your setup email.
SPF TXTAuthorises servers that may send for your domainUse the domain-specific SPF value in the setup email; never publish two separate SPF policies at the same name.
DKIM TXTPublishes the public key for signature checkingUse the full generated dkim._domainkey hostname and public key from your own email. Never use another customer's DKIM key.
DMARC TXTSpecifies how to handle mail that fails sender authenticationUse the domain-specific instruction; confirm your sender passes DKIM/SPF before enforcing p=reject.
Optional SRV/CNAMEHelps compatible mail applications discover settingsOnly where provided and appropriate; some providers already use these names.

Finishing safely

Keep your backup email accessible, use the full mailbox address to sign in, and test delivery in both directions. If you lose a verification link, begin with recovery and resend help; if a paid activation is delayed, do not pay twice.
